I work full time, I've always worked. I've also done 4 degrees. I am by no means a SAHM....I still will never compromise on how I am raising her based on lifestyle choices I've made.

Stop making excuses.

You are making excuses and some serious assumptions about other parents.

I'm not making excuses? And this thread wasn't even about watching movies while sleeping.

DS is 3.5 and he watches about 30 minutes of a movie while laid down to relax, then the TV goes off if he's not already asleep. He's never taken toys to bed except for his lalaloopsie doll named Bandaid   or he chooses a stuffed animal. And he sleeps with his Twilight turtle on by his bed, too.

No, but it's still visual stimuli.

I don't allow TV, Ipad, leappad or any type of electronics when it is time for bed. I don't want a kid that becomes reliant on it to go to sleep. It drives me bananas that my DH has to have the TV on to go to sleep, when I like things off and quiet.
