Get a night light and stop the movies.

Also, co-sleeping is more for the child, not you.

Peyton was the same way. I got a night light and just had to let her cio (she was 2 now 3) and she still gets upset but she goes to sleep fast.

DD goes to sleep to a movie, almost every night.
But if she went to bed with her innotab she wouldn't sleep, she would just play all night

I'd get rid of the movie at night. Have her watch a bedtime show after dinner then turn it off for the evening, give her a night light. She will be very upset for awhile but will get over it.

I also would cosleep for me, only if it was something for the kids

if the movies aren't keeping her up there isn't a need to break the habit. I always had a tv on when I went to bed and I never stayed up late, same reason as her. I was tariffed to be in the dark alone. Honestly as a grown 24 year sometimes when i'm stuck being at home alone due to my husbands work schedule I will sleep with a tv on.
If she does seem to be staying up later, just make her go to bed sooner.
With that said, I wouldn't encourage any type of game or toy in the bed but a stuffed animal or doll. Something that isn't stimulating but is still a comfort.
As for co-sleeping, if it's something she also wants to do and she understands what day(s) she is allowed go right ahead.

Everybody telling me it's so horrible to let her watch a movie....
have you ever worked full time and gone to nursing school too?
At least she's fed, bathed, teeth brushed, with clean jammies in a warm bed.

While I never went to nursing school, I have done 4 degrees and worked sometimes 3 jobs.....so, I know how hard it is to juggle everything.

That's the choices you made having a child and going back to school with her so young. You learn to deal with it.

There are many women on here who still have to sleep with the television on because it was a habit they got into as a child.

some kids can't handle tv and bed time. Yes it can keep them up, but for others is a comfort and relaxing. I was one that it comforted and relaxed. My husband has to have tv to go to sleep he will turn it on and be out in less than 10 mins lol. I have a feeling my son will be the same way. He needs the noise and bright lights.

My son is 3.5 and sleeps with his leappad2. He is always asleep by 9pm and doesn't wake up in the middle of the night. He either watches a video or reads an e-book until he goes to sleep.
Its your child and you know what right!
As for co-sleeping, I wish my son would sleep with me sometimes but now hes a self-proclaimed "big boy" so no more of that

Yup, I made the decision to go when she is so young, so I can have a good paying job before she goes to elementary school and is the kid with free lunches and an apartment.

I haven't seen anyone call you horrible. In fact no one bashed you for your choices. You seemed to want to make a change so we offered advice.

But, seriously turn the woe is me smurf down. Plenty of people do more than you and don't rely on a tv to put their kid to bed. Not really sure how the two are related.

And the co sleeping problem is because sometimes I just wanna sleep alone and I'll feel guilty to tell her that, than other nights I'll want her to sleep with me, so I allow her so Im worried that will confuse her.

It is extremely hard to break bad habits your kid has when you've worked and went to school for 16 hours that day.
