Fertile Discharge **Ovulation PLEASE HELP

posted 13th Jan
I've never been able to track exactly when I was ovulating. I have been *attempting* lately.

I noticed that my discharge is clear and bubbly, when I looked this up I see that it's normal during ovulation. I had my period on Wednesday, the 2nd. I had my IUD *Mirena* removed Friday, the 4th. (All in this month, January) Does this sound like about the right timing for ovulation? I did some REALLY CRAPPY math, and figured I shouldn't be ovulating until around the 20-22nd of this month.

I've also had a lot of cramps that seem centered, instead of picking a side. Is this normal for ovulation?

TIA! Means a lot.

If your cycle is 28 days, it is likely you will ovulate 14 days before your next expected period (really 10 - 16 days is normal). So that would be Jan 18th. Most women are fertile several days before they ovulate (sperm can live for up to 3-7 days in optimal conditions, waiting for an egg).

You might be fertile now.

Oh, but your cycle could be thrown off by the Mirena, possibly for months.

My period started January 3rd and I am *suppose* to ovulate around the 15th according to my past cycles. My next period is due to start the 1st.

I am pretty sure I ovulated early because I had clear, slippery, string, stretchy discharge on the 12th-today....I usually get cramps too and Ive been cramping since the 12th.

Its possible to ovulate as early as day 10 of your cycle.

One more thing before I go to bed. I really recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It is wonderful and makes figuring out when you are fertile so easy  .

Best of luck!

Thank you! Also, I will definitely be looking into that book! It's always been really screwy, pre-baby it was irregular. Post partum I got mirena, still haven't had a period. Started having a visible period again within the past 3 months. Just removed the IUD, this is all a whirlwind. I admire those of you who can keep tabs on all this. Thanks again, so much.

Okay, so cramping isn't a bad sign. Just a whole lot of differences! These cramps though, they're not bad just like scratches on the inside. That's how I always imagine it. So odd.
