Stretch marks and self-confidence

posted 13th Jan
Being pregnant really tore up my tummy and I'm EXTREMELY self-conscious about it now. Before it'd be nothing to go and flaunt my tummy, but since having my son my tummy is all tore up and wrinkled. I don't feel beautiful in anyway. I'm not big, about 5'7" 135lbs but I just feel very blah and flabby all the time! PROBLEM. I'm going on a cruise in may and, of course, my boyfriend expects me to wear a swim suit. <--LOL not likely. If I can hardly look at myself, I wouldn't put anybody else through that pain of having to look at me. He says he doesn't care, and I know that he really doesn't, which makes me feel good to a point. I just have a really hard time feeling beautiful, or sexy in something less than jeans and a loss fitting shirt. I feel like I NEED to be covered to feel decent about myself that day.

Wear a one piece. Problem solved as far as the swim suit goes. If it still makes you self-conscious, use a wrap or one of those over shirt things.

Start doing yoga. Don't just complain about how you feel, do something about it. This is your body, so do something to improve it, or spend the rest of your life hating it!

Yoga can show some pretty quick progress if you try it.

Get yourself a super cute tankini. Hell, I wouldn't wear a bikini to save my life and I didn't get stretch marks. Have fun and don't stress it!

Tankinis are adorable!

Also, get some wheat germ oil and vitamin e and massage your belly every day with it. I did this for my daughter's shoulder stretch marks after a friend swore by it. It helped the appearance a lot.

Try yoga and also abdominal exercises that might help tightened it up a little bit   I'm sure it's not as bad as you think it is! We are always our toughest critics!
