holding off on ttc *poll*

posted 13th Jan
SO and I have decided to hold off on ttc until after our wedding in June after the loss we recently experienced. We want to have a mental and physical break and time to grieve. The disappointment of ttc was stressful for us so we want to take a step back and focus on us and the wedding for a while. This will also give us some time to continue to work on weight loss and saving money.

Do you think it would be worth it to get on BC for this short amount of time (probably about 6 months) or would it be better to use methods like natural planning and pulling out? Part of me wants to use BC so we can be sure but after ttc for so long without a successful pregnancy, part of me thinks I dont need to worry about BC at all because I feel discouraged like wont be able to get pregnant again anyway

I never advise for hormonal BC. Always natural family planning. It'll help you learn your cycle so it'll make TTC faster too!

My husband and I used the mini pill and foams/ supositories, condoms ect.... before our wedding. Depending on what your fertility situation is, I wouldn't worry about a pill. Sometimes women find themselves getting pregnant quickly right after getting off the pill.

I would personally use NuvaRing.

It worked phenomenally for is and we got pregnant the month after we stopped using it

Like 100 chicks posted they conceived using the pull out method on a post recently, I wouldn't suggest that one lol

I would ask to get the patch, it's a low steady stream, easy to handle and you can go off it easily.

Agree unless there is an underlying fertility issue. Then a mini pill can help regulate a cycle and make TTC easier as well.

I also advise against the pull out method for the obvious reasons.

do you mean use a ''low dose'' pill ? the ''mini pill'' doesnt regulate your cycle because its not a combination pill.
