How do I do a magic circle in crochet?

I know how to do a magic circle, but I don't know how to convert patterns to a magic circle.

My pattern says, ch 5- slip stitch to form a ring
ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with sl st on top of ch 3. -12

But I don't want the hole in the centre so want to do the magic circle, but I don't know how many dc or ch or anything to do.

I googled but it just tells me how to do the MC not how to convert it, if that makes sense? Can you explain so I know for future projects? Thanks.

I'd make a magic circle, ch 3 and then do 11dc into the circle...

I've done the magic circle a few times but its always been part of the pattern.
