I've been going through something similar.. I was due august 21st. I went through with the abortion last thursday.. I feel a sense of relief... But I also feel sort of unstable right now.. But i know that will pass, and I know i made the right decision. I cannot afford another child, and cannot have another under these circumstances..

I've kind of kept up with your situation. I know how you feel. Its s hard decision to make but in the end you have to think about your child/ren that's living. I like to pretend and daydream that I could make it work but ultimately I can't. I can barely afford to feed the child I have and bringing another into this world right now is not smart. I hope that you can feel better about your decision and know that it was for the best

if u are continually questioning your decision please take the time to educate yourself on all available resources in your area. You may qualify for aid w/another child that you dont qualify for w/just 1....i have known several women that went through extra grief over their decision to abort once they found out (to late) that they wouldve qualified for extra resources (childcare vouchers, medical assistance, housing aid, food stamps, school grants, etc...)
Also research counseling and support groups in your area for if you go through w/the termination.

I know i will feel better... When I sit and think about it, I know i couldnt of done it... I would feel selfish bringing a kid into this world that i couldnt care for... And i would be taking LO down with me too.. It would just be a disaster...

I have been through similar twice over now, and I know all too well what the rollercoaster of emotions is like. if you are like me you will change your mind another few times again before Friday!

re. a ceremony, I have heard about planting a little tree some people do, although I haven't. I know what you mean about loss, I feel more loss for my aborted pregnancies than I do for the miscarriages I've had :'(

have you tried pre-abortion counseling do they offer it at your clinic? I did find it helpful. and they're not allowed to bias you either way; which is what friends and family (either intentionally or inadvertently) tend to do.

Thank you. I went to bed wondering if I would change my mind. And I actually slept good for one, and I woke up feeling at peace with my decision. I know 10000% now that it's the best thing to do for me any my son
