I want to leave him so smurfing bad it hurts.

My SO is so emotional abusive.

I just started working out recently...and he just recently has started calling me a lazy fat ass...fat ass...or fat smurf..things like that. The smurfed up thing is it doesn't bother me...I know that i am none of those things...I work out, work full time, and do everything for are daughter..get up in the middle of the night etc. I'm far from lazy. He calls me a dumb ass all the time and I know I'm intelligent. I just hate him so much...and I don't throw around the word hate...I really don't. He makes me sooo miserable. I sit and day dream about finding love and about actually being in love all day. It invades my thoughts and dreams....I know what it feels like..I've been in love before. I know what I'm missing out on.

Can you not leave?

Why don't you ask him to get out? You don't deserve to be talked to like that.

The obvious answer is to leave. You're not doing yourself or your daughter any favors. Do you really want her growing up thinking that is how a man treats a woman?

If you don't do it for yourself, at least do it for her?

then leave him. Or kick him out...you are obviously doing this alone already so why not just step it up and get rid of him so you can find someone who will be the man of your daydreams.

Did this start right around the time you started working out? Maybe he feels threatened by you getting in shape/ feeling good about yourself... my dad did this to my mom ALL THE TIME when I was a kid, whenever she would start a diet or do something to take care of herself, he would belittle her and find ways to make her feel like smurf - I guess so she wouldn't have the confidence to leave his dumb ass! I am so sorry you're going through this, you DEFINITELY don't deserve to be treated that way! How are you reacting to him when he says these things?

I wish you would leave   If he can't be nice to you, he doesn't deserve you. This is coming from someone who has been in your shoes, somehow found the strength to leave, and am now happily married to man who treats me like the treasure I am. You have to believe you are worth more than he is giving you, because you are worth so much more. It hurts to leave, but it hurts more to stay. Get out and get your kid out. *HUGS*

not at all! I think about that everyday too. i do plan on leaving..i just need my tax return..i wouldn't be able to afford the apartment i have now on my own and i can't afford a security deposit and 1st months rent without my tax return..i'm just waiting it out.

Ugh yeh I would say start taking steps to leaving his dumb ass. You don't want to be with that, and you definitely do not want your daughter growing up thinking it is okay to be treated like that!

no..it's just been getting worse. he didn't start calling me a fat ass until i started working out...that is new. He just always called me a dumb ass or a smurf or something. The word smurf doesn't even offend me...but he must think it does.

lol. My ex still calls me all those things and we havent been together for soon to be 3 years. lol. I dont mind the names.

i only really have my dad and his wife...and I moved out when i was 17 because i don't get along with her...living there would make me just as miserable.
