re: Military breakfast for our deployed troops are cut

I'm not happy about it either... especially when they aren't getting their jobs done. I mean, for smurfs sake... They get tons of vacation time and get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars but they STILL can't get smurf done.

Why is it amusing for me to say vets shouldn't be getting treated like crap? Do I have to be a vet before I can get an opinion on something like this?

IMO, if I have to budget for paying off my debt, the friggin government should be responsible enough to do the same. You don't splurge on expensive toys when the repo man's breathing down your neck.

wow, that is smurfed up. If I travel for work, I get 2 meals a day paid... and at my job, I dont have people trying to kill me.

Do they have military kids? I mean even those in the civilian realm notice how differently military members and their families are treated particularly the children.

I really don't see what's smurfing fabulous about the military lifestyle. Regardless of rank. Financially speaking. Officers make great money as long as they have the time in. Enlisted? Not so much. Maybe to the average person its great but these are soldiers we are talking about here. I hold them to a higher standard.

And we made more money when DH was in, but fabulous? Eh. I never got to see my husband...like, very rarely. He saw our daughter 6 weeks in her first year. While we made more then than what we do now, he certainly deserved more for all that he was doing & it was a huge emotional sacrifice as a family.
