No problem!
If you have any other questions, feel free to shoot me a message. Having mice as pets, I've had to do a lot of research to keep my girls safe.

Also, I highly reccommend cleaning mouse mess with gloves on and sanitizing with a mixture of hot water and bleach with a few drops of vanilla. I use vanilla when introducing new cage mates because it completely kills their scent. Bleach and other solvents alone can't quite do that. Mice can still pick up the smell of other mice after a cage or counter has been cleaned.

And one more thing...night lights! Too much light exposure screws up a females estrus cycle and can prevent her from going into heat. Because mice have such horrible eye sight, a few night lights can be enough to throw their bodies off.

Definitely doing this next time! Just like regular vanilla extract?

& We actually leave our stove light, living room light, & this bar light thing we have on all night. SO works night shift so I can't stand the house being dark because I'm a chicken smurf.. lol. So hopefully that's enough light! That's interesting though! Never knew that

Yep, yep! Because of their poor eye sight, they have an incredible sense of smell.

And if they're spending any length of time inside your home, then that should be enough. Mice need 12 hours of light with 12 hours of dark to regulate their metabolism and estrus cycles. Consider it meecer birth control, haha. It's not 100% effective, but it does have a significant impact from my experience. I've had a buck housed with several does for weeks on end, and the screwy light cycle kept the does from getting pregnant
