Will they still put tubes in my 6 month old's ears on Wednesday if she still has an ear infection?

She's had 7 and has had fluid since birth....so she pretty much ALWAYS has them and antibiotics don't typically work very well. She's been on antibiotics the last few days but today is her last day of them so I'm worried she'll have an ear infection when she goes for surgery Wednesday.

I would bring it up to her doctor about getting them... Poor kid. She has had more of them then the months that she has been alive.

She is getting them Wednesday morning. I just didn't know if the ear infection is still present if they'd postpone it or not.

oh. I dont think they would postpone it. But I would call tomorrow and ask.

The tubes are to drain the infection out. They'll put them in regardless. My 5 y/o had them done at 2 and she had an ear infection going in too. Her ear was super crusty and gross when she came out. And make sure you use the ear plugs for bathing everytime. Good luck to her
