What do you think?

posted 13th Jan
Right now, I barely excercise- I work tues thru saturday (waitress) its not a very busy place, theres 11 tables/ Im the only server on the shift- Im on my feet 6 hrs. I have two kids, but once i get home... my ass is typically on the couch for at least 3 hrs (on the computer, watching tv, ect) Im TRYING to excercise at home- I do it 2-3 times/week for 15-20 mins at a time... not much. I do not eat TERRIBLY! I eat cereal & wheat toast for breakfast, a salad/ sandwich for lunch, and dinner (I like my Veggies more then meat & potatoes/pasta/rice) I dont eat alot of fast food (maybe once a month) i dont eat alot of junk (usually just during my period a day or two) I drink maybe ONE soda a day *if im at work*

Do you think it would make a noticable difference, if i worked out- at a gym, 3-4 times a week for an hour per visit? but didnt change anything else... yet. ?

I just asked my SO, and he said No- because i need to diet also, to see a difference?

I think it would make a difference, and I think you should at least try. The more you exercise, the better your motivation to eat better and work out more.

My SO is the same way. I started a biggest loser thing with a couple of my friends on New Years and I've been working out daily since then. He kept telling me to stop eating any carbs, to do other things in my work out... Meanwhile, he dieted for like a day and is now back to our usual habits. Finally today as I was working out and he was on the couch trying to tell me what to do I was like "so babe... How's your diet?" He laughed and I'm pretty sure that will be the end of it

It always helps to keep a diet. I personally, never diet. Exercise a lot and the difference shows.

Weight loss is 80% diet/20% exercise. So yes, you'll see a small difference, but you'll feel better once your eating habits change too.

Someone just told me that by cutting out bread alone, and changing NOTHING else... can help alot, you could loose like 5-7 lbs a month!? Is that true!? I dont eat a whole lot... thought of trying it, until the end of Jan, just to see how it would work. AND giving up the small amount of soda i do drink (at work) to see what that does?

Also cutting soda and drinking a lot of water. Nothing after six, if you are craving something or are hungry watermelon is the thing to go to.

It is like the above person said, 80%, 20%. That being said-calorie intake is the most efficient way to diet. You still need your sugars and fats, but everything in moderation. 1200-1500 calories per day will make a big difference. On top of that if youre exercising youll see an added difference.

All exercise with hardly any diet will mostly just make you feel better and will keep your metabolism going, but wont have you losing much weight.

If you want to lose weight, youve gotta go big and just do it.

Oh yeah, you'll definitely notice a difference by cutting out bread/soda! I honestly wouldn't be surprised if you had a 5lb loss in one week with cutting that out and exercising!

That is great! Plus, it may be a myth but they say carrots improve your eyesight.

AND you burn more calories while eating celery than you consume.
