I don't know what to do, what to say...I'm trying to be strong for her and do the things she needs me to do....but I feel I'm at a loss for words....he died 14 hours away from where we live, she, her bf and her daughter left today to go down and have him cremated and bring him back here...they'll be gone until Wednesday, I plan on cleaning her house for her, I'm making them dinner when they get back...I got her a gift card to these really relaxing wooden hot tubs for when she returns and I'm getting her a gift card for her fav place to eat...how else can I be there for her? I don't know what to do to help ease the pain...I want to see about getting some of her fav pics of him blown up so I can mount them onto different canvas'....I just don't know what to do
I am so sorry for your loss.
I know when my hubby passed all needed was for someone to be there when i needed to talk, vent, scream, cry. someone to listen. Just let her know that you are there for her and love her. the small things matter most. get out of the way when she hints she needs space. bc I know I was ready to scream for some alone time everyone tries to crowd and help. Just call and talk even see if she wants a sister day out! those always help. go hangout, shopping. If it werent for my sisters I dont know how I would have made it. Will be thinking of them!
I think she's having a lot of regrets right now...he was "the problem child" if you will...she has a lot of trouble raising him in recent years, it got so bad she had to make him move out...she sent him to live with our dad on the east coast and things seemed to be getting better then he asked our dad to send him to LA which is 14 hours from us, things seemed to be going even better for him from what we knew...it seemed he was finally getting the help he neeed, the help he refused from her...we haven't seen him in almost a year...she's asking a lot of lwhat if"s...but I honestly feel that she did the best she knew how to in order to help him
