anxious!!!

so im 37 weeks and 5 days, at my last doctors appointment my ob told me that im 4 cm dialated and 60%effaced. this is my first pregnancy, and i dont exactly know if ive had any braxton hicks, or contractions. i feel alot of pressure.. im just wondering how much longer it will be? or how long they will wait to induce me? will they induce me before my due date?? any ideas to jump start labor??

they won't/shouldn't induce you unless you are having complications and/or go overdue.

you can be at 4cm for a while. or, you can have baby tomorrow.

I was 4 cm for 2 weeks   i'm not even gonna let them check me this time

Oh and to try and induce yourself, sex, walking, sit/bounce on a yoga ball, accupressure (you can google where you should press), nipple stimulation..

but, nothing will help at all if baby isn't ready. just a waiting game at this point.

lol your fine and have three weeks to go before you start talking about jump starting labor sorry but its for the best....if you havent felt anything its for a reason I promise you could start walking which wont hurt you but if your ready for labor it will help I do suggest checking out the fact of alot of first timers go past the due date and looking up induction a bit more

I had my first at 37w3d.. i got checked and was 3cm, the next day i had sex, went for a walk.. had him that night, i was 7cm when i got to the hospital.

last tuesday, (37w) i was 3cm... been having sex, walking, he's still in there.

They shouldnt induce you unless it is medically needed. As for how much longer you have, it can be tomorrow, or you could go 2 weeks over due. There is no real way to tell when labor will happen. My advice is relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Your not considered term yet, so I hope you atleast keep the baby cooking untill then! Good luck!

they shouldnt induce unless there is a complication or issue. I was induced at 38 wks with my son because I had gestational diabetes. I suggest walking or having sex semen thins your cervix. good luck hun.

Lucky! I went to 41 + 1 with a bulging sac of waters, 4cm, and 75% effaced! LOL

i had no aches or pains at all with my first. this one, i feel like my ribs are literally broken and my pelvis is just gonna fall off. lol

LOL I feel your pain mama. I always tell people I feel like i'm gonna bottom out hahaha. I still have 8 weeks left!

That's good that ur dialated and effaced already. i'm nearly 42 weeks and going to be induced if my baby doesn't decide to come naturally. My midwife wanted to induce me after 41weeks but I said no, here they don't induce you before 41weeks unless there is something wrong medically eg. high blood pressure..
