If something was created from the beneficiary compounds of marijana without the detrimental effects sure. Will I be letting my child smoke or ingest something that can have them in a mental institution hearing voices ... no.

Marijuana actually acts well as an anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety and anti-depressant medication when the right strains are paired together. Sativa is known to trigger schizophrenia in people with a family history of it, as well as make the paranoia associated with schizophrenia and related illnesses worse. Indica combats schizophrenic hallucinations.

If your child is being given medical marijuana, the strain is going to on the info card at the dispensary. Indica and Sativa are used to treat different ailments. Also, marijuana-induced psychosis is very, very rare. Considering it happens in people who were schizphrenic to begin with, it's highly unlikely a child is going to wind up in a psych ward talking to purple people eaters. I have been prescribed marijuana for schizoaffective disorder in the past, and it was much more effective than any anti-psychotic I've ever been on

Then it's not medical marijuana.
When you are getting medical marijuana, you aren't just buying some random smurf. You're buying medicine for your ailment, and as I said the two stfains treat different problems. There are hybrids too, but even a dispensary will tell you the Indica and Sativa quantities in percentage form.
