re: Medical Marijuana Safe For Children

Very well said.

What about disabling illness?

Wow...... I'm sorry, but as I pointed out. the other medications would have horrible side effect, the cannabis wouldn't and you'd still put your child through it, just so you can say they aren't on pot. that's an interesting point of view.

As a parent, I'd think you'd pick the medication w/ the least negative side effects.

Just because it is abused by idiot's shouldn't be a reason to pick a more toxic medication.

People abuse pills just as much as they abuse pot. You'd still take the pills.

It would have to be something very serious.

Absolutely. I wouldn't want my kid to go thru chemo/radiation when they could try something less expensive, healthier, and very possibly save their life and make them cancer free or something.

Not at all.
In countries where it is fully legal they have seen a decrease in drug abuse and health problems as a whole.

I have to admit that I'm quite intrigued by your point of view. Thank you for being so honest about it.

As my child's parent I always research what I am giving them before they get it. There are some medications that I wouldn't put them on, but there are some that I would try before I gave my child marijuana.

Our society still places a negative stigma on a drug that can be more helpful than harmful IMO.

On her behalf, I can say that there are other homeopathic remedies to various diseases available on the market.

I'm a huge advocate for the legalization of marijuana though.
Seriously, can you imagine the economic boom we'll experience!? Haha

I have bad experiences with family members using drugs. In the experience with my family members weed did become a gateway drug. I am completely aware that it isn't for everyone. I wouldn't think badly of anyone who chose to use it for them or their ill child. For me though it would be hard to give my child any drug (hence why I do a lot of research on any and all medication I do give my kids, some I have told the dr that I didn't want them to have because the side effects were so much worse than the actual illness).

Honestly Idc if the govt slapped a tax on it! Yes ppl can grow it but some are lazy (me) and would still buy it. tobacco can be grown (not sure for personal use though) but heck ppl still pay the tax to buy cigs.
