Done with sucking

I think my DD is moved on from her need to suck all the time. She has began throwing her binky and she has stopped sucking/eating her hands. Do babies reach a point where they just don't want to suck on anything anymore?

Yeah they do. Once they've matured enough to self soothe and occupy themswlfs with other activities then they will not suck on things as much. That is, until they begin teething.

Some just are done with the soother, my daughter stopped using one around 3 months. She prefers her fingers  

My first took a pacifier until 14 months, when I threw them away. Second was a thumb sucker and still does at almost 4 (which annoys the crap out of me) and my third takes neither a pacifier or his thumb. All babies are different but generally they hit a point where they are able to meet their needs other ways :-)

She'll only suck on her fingers if she hungry. Otherwise, she'll act like she's counting her fingers it's the cutest thing ever. She also just realized she can touch her toes so that's her biggest form of entertainment.

I love that stage!!!! My DS is 4 months and is just starting to be able to get his toes kn his mouth. He used to try and try but was too chunky. I laugh so hard when he chews on them! He's also rolling and I absolutely love watching him . He will grab his toes laughing and just roll everywhere

She doesn't laugh much yet. Her fingers and toes are serious business. She tries to roll a little bit but gets stuck halfway through. She so serious about everything.
