What the heck is this?

posted 13th Jan
I just got out of no where a good bit of pressure and sharp pain like right on my cervix. It felt like I had to pee so I went to get up and had to sit right back down...it was really painful...is there a chance I could be dilating and feeling that? It feels a bit better but for a good half hr it was like that..They say with multiple pregnancies babies don't drop until right before labor or during labor, so I don't think it's that...This just felt way different than the normal stabbing pains baby gives me...anyone else have this or do you know what it could be?

I think it's just normal aches and pains. Where did you hear that babies don't drop until labor after the first pregnancy? My dr. told me this one dropped when I had an appointment 2 weeks ago.

My doctor and midwife..I see both.. I'm already carrying low, but I asked if maybe the baby is dropping and they said after your first pregnancy babies dont tend to drop until right before or during labor....I've heard a couple woman say the same..

I've gotten that a couple times when I've gotten up from sitting for a longer period of time. It really hurts and feels like she's going to just fall out. I wish this was a sign that she was coming soon but I don't think it is. I'm going to ask at my obgyn appointment tomorrow.

Well my first dropped at 36 weeks, my second at 33 and my third at 28a weeks so I must be a freak. It sounds like baby pushing on your cervix and its completely normal. You get all kinds of weird aches and pains during pregnancy unfortunately.

Mine was head down on my cervix "locked and loaded" according to my US tech and my doctor. At 26 weeks. Also I get those pains now. I know exactly what you're talking about instead of waiting for them to go away, work through them by slowly stand up straight. It's just baby on your cervix.
