Freaking out about periods

Hey ladies so im starting to get paranoid back in october of last year i had a copper iud put in to avoid getting pregnant our first baby was a birth control baby and we want to plan our next one no surprises . Problem is in oct my period was on the 2 and nov the 2 and then december between the 7-12 i dont remember and now its january the 13th and still no period i know pregnancies are rare with iuds but what if im the unlucky one . i had some harsh cramping last night so im hoping for my period . do you think i should wait it out or call my doctor that put in my iud tomorrow and see what she thinks
