Won't eat food

posted 13th Jan
My daughter will not eat her baby food. Everytime I try to feed her she refuses to eat it. I feel like all I can do is give her bottles all the time bcuz she will drink her bottle but won't eat. The only time it seems like she will eat is if she eats regular food. Anybody else have/had this problem?

How old is she?
Some babies don't take purees. Your best bet may be Baby Led Weaning.

I just looked at your profile- your daughter is exactly 1 month older than my son- he was born April 13th 2012.

Is this a recent thing? Has she never taken purees?

Just looked at your profile and I see that she's about 10 months old.

Give her some of whatever you're eating, if that's what she wants. I wouldn't worry too much about it though...babies don't really need anything but formula/breastmilk until at least a year.

If she will eat regular food then yes, she will eat food. Some babies don't like having to eat something they can see no one else is eating.

My kids never ate the purees cos I wasn't eating them. I just made baby safe dinners and breakfasts and lunches and gave them what I was eating.

I've heard that the way they prepare jarred baby foods deprives it of a lot of the taste (and nutrients)...have you tried making your own purees? That's what we plan to do with DD when she hits 6 months.

She has been eating it. It didn't use to be a problem. It seems like just recently that she doesnt want to eat it anymore.

She's probably just getting tired of the purees. I would start her on table food!
