I was stupid enough to try it with my first. Did nothing but induce grossness for about 48 hours.

Nope. It can cause serious harm to your baby, not to mention it gives you the runs... I'd stay far away from it.

My friend tried it and it was gross, gave her the runs and she almost got stuck giving birth on the toilet. It worked but it made her really sick, and dehydrated. She looked miserable

I don't have personal experience with this but I do know these threads don't go down well at BG. You might talk to your doctor about ways to get your labor going.

Don't do it.
Baby will come when ready

My friend tried it and just ended up having horrible contractions and the smurfs for weeks till baby came out on his own.

Oh I won't do it, I'm too chicken lol
I just have severe preeclampsia so I'm reading things and wanted to see others experiences... It seems like it'd do more for cleaning your bowels then anything else lol

Please don't try castor oil, it poses risks to both you and the baby and it's not even guarenteed to work. You could become dehydrated and it could cause baby to pass meconium which could be fatal. The best thing you can do is walk, have sex, and just wait it out.

Well it is a laxative. It was never meant for inducing.

Nope never even thought about risking it. It can cause dehydration and the smurfs and I was already miserable enough. Plus I knew nothing would work if she wasn't ready.

That usually works, but if she really has severe pre-e like she says then she doesn't need to be doing anything, especially walking or sex. She should be on really strict bedrest. And if it is in fact severe, then the doctor should probably already be thinking about inducing her. When it gets to the point of being severe, that's usually what they do. They'll wait it out as long as possible id it's mild but I was induced the same day they realized mine was severe.

I don't think it's worth it. Be patient, girl. Baby will come. (:

Try walking, sex, sitting/bouncing on a yoga ball.

Don't do it... It may do nothing and its nasty. It can also put baby into distress.

Don't try it it's dangerous...have heard people say it's worth it and it works but heard of more people say it doesn't work and all say it's gross.

Can cause u to have the runs or vomitting or both and could cause baby to stress out.
