Gripe water?

I bought little tummy gripe water. My son is 3 weeks old. He's sick with a virus and a cold. He's been pooping diarhea for about 3-4 days now. I think gripe water is for gas correct? I just don't know how go tell if he really has gas, he fusses almost constantly now and farts a lot?

The gripe water helped my son when he was really young and seemed to have gas. After a few minutes it seemed to relieve his pain from the gas and he would fall asleep.

I know this is old but gripe water is for colicy babies and hiccups. I have to use gas drops to help my little man with his gas.

My son had really bad gas before we changed his formula and gripe water worked immediately.

my son was colic and very gassy and gripe water didnt help him at all but i know alot of other people that swear by it. I would try it and see if it helps relieve his gas some. Its horrible when they get sick when there that little cause theres not much you can do for them.
