Second hole ear piercing?

What's the earliest anyone has had their LO's second ear piercing done? BF thinks that LO is big enough to get her second piercing and small enough that we wont have to worry about her pulling on them or not taking care of them (since we would be making sure all is well). Shes 16 months. The youngest I've heard of a LO getting second holes is 2 and that was my cousin. Thoughts? experiences?

Why does a toddler need a 2nd hole?

I won't even get my daughter a first hole until she asks me for it.

I wouldn't cause their ear loves are gonna get bigger. Then they may end up spaced akwardly.

I think one hole is enough. My son has his ears pierced I would never get him a second hole.. And I wouldn't risk them being spaced out awkwardly either like someone else mentioned. Just not a good idea IMO.

Never even thought about the spacing. Going to have to bring that up to him. Thank you  

My little sister just got her 2nd hole a few days ago and she's 13, I think that's a good age if the kid wants them. I had DD's ears pierced at around 6 months, but anything other than that (even more ear piercings in general) will be totally up to her when she gets older.

2 holes in each ear on a baby would look weird as hell.....   

My little cousin is 5 and just got her 2nd holes done, it looks stupid as smurf. This is coming from someone who is all for babies ear piercings, my DD got hers done at 4 months.


There is no reason for a baby to have a 2nd hole.

Wow.1 is definitely enough until she is old enough to ask for it, and clean it herself. I was 10 when i got my first, 12 for my 2nd.
Thats ridiculous.
