Yes thank you for that....that was sort of what I was getting at... No one KNOWS for SURE what causes a woman to labor....so the phrase (baby comes when baby is ready) isn't always the case....I just see it written soooo much and really wanted to know...the reason I asked was because when I told my OB about it and asked his opinion he laughed at it and said I need to get off the social sites...lol

Hehe, No problem   I would die if I needed a C-Section...Not really, but Ive had a bad burn to my abdomen that has been reconstructed and it would just be alllllll bad if I ended up needing one...lol

I think that refers to uncomplicated prgnancies.

Yeah. What I am getting when people say that is, don't try to force your baby out. They are not ready to come out because your body and/or their development isnt done yet.

As long at the person is 39 weeks, I don't care...but when someone is 37 weeks wanting to induce, it is selfish.

I agree. I'm so sick of people being selfish. Maybe I'm Just overly emotional about my situation   but I just get so upset about them doing that.

Agreed..when it goes as far as doing things that could seriously cause more issues than just inducing labor...I can see the point there. Isn't it funny though though that people wait so long to get pregnant than as soon as they are, BAM they want it over with haha...

I ended up with an emergency c-section because LO went into fetal distress. Looking back... it wasn't that bad. I didn't have any complications from surgery and my recovery time was pretty quick. But I still would have loved to have a vaginal birth. I do feel like I missed out on something.

I never thought I could get pregnant then it happened and it was the most miserable experience of my life. ha ha. I wasnt trying to castor oil him out or anything though, but I walked like a MFer! I was sooo sick with throwing up everyday, all day and the strict bed rest. I just wanted to get it over with!

i think baby coming when its ready is bullsmurf. premies aren't ready AND way back in the day women would die because the baby would NEVER come out so wtf is that? the baby doesn't say "heeey ready to come out i'll make your body start labor" your body does it when its ready or can't handle the pregnancy anymore.

What do mean the baby NEVER comes? Even if a fetus dies in-utero, you body will still expel it....

i've heard stories of women dying because they were like 45 weeks pregnant before csections. not even sure how true, just something my grandmother told me about. but the baby will come when its ready thing isn't true.

I'm starting to be one now...I started taking primrose oil cause doc said go for it, but it makes me burp and has a horrible after taste so I won't be taking them anymore...so now it's getting jiggy with it in my living room with my toddler (dancing) and that's about it. Walking hurt's to much on my hips lol

I don't know. I think when people say, "Baby will come when ready"... they really mean your body will go into labor when it's ready.

Obviously, the baby itself has no control over the process.

Do you have an exercise ball? I've seen women suggest bouncing on the ball may help.

Nope not yet, I'm thinking of making the hubs go get one sometimes...I just rock back and forth in my rocking chair but when I get up out of it it's hell because of my hips...the phrase "child bearing hips" is no friggin lie...they hurt like a BLLEEEEPPP! LOL
