re: Yessica?

posted 13th Jan
My name is Jessica, when I was a teenager I worked at walmart. They had this weekly newsletter and in that newsletter was a list of people celebrating their "walmart" anniversaries. For some reason I was really excited to see my name there listing my "first anni", I guess working a job for a whole year felt like a big accomplishment at 18, LOL. Anyways it finally comes out and they had mispelled my name as Cessica.   Really?

Yessica reminded me of that whole story and 11 years later I'm still annoyed by it, LOL

I can tell you what I find about 99% of the time, sadly. The most popular girl names are Tina, or Katharina, Susana, Maria, Nancy, Margarita, or Margaretha, Eva, Judith, Helena or Helen, Anna,
Boys- Cornelius, John, Jake, Peter, David, Abraham, Klaus, Wilhelm, Henry

And this is yet another form of being Mennonite! They wear small black scarves called a 'duk' and girls are usually only allowed to wear dresses. I'd post a website but I can't find a single one that describes it right. Just go out to Seminole Texas and you'll run into them EVERYWHERE you go. Seriously. They have like 6 differant churches there.

Yep, they moved from Russia to Old Mexico and Canada and now they are literally all over the United States.

My mom slightly mentioned Amish but I don't think it was a big thing to her....my family is catholic. Well my grandparents were like hardcore Catholics but my mom veered away from that after graduating H.S, they had her go to catholic schools while living in Erie.
Strangely, my mom and dad were both from PA but didn't meet until here in Az.

I always told my parents I wouldn't get married in black and they laughed at me saying I would change my mind and all that. Well I proved them wrong in that. I got married in a cream colored "english" wedding gown. I also said my kids wouldn't have German or Mennonite names and so far so good in that area too. ;)
