Losing too much weight

posted 13th Jan
So since starting my weight loss journey 2 weeks ago I have lost 6.8 pounds (3.8 lbs week 1 and 3 pounds last week). I haven't been super active work out wise (I still haven't been able to make it through a full P90X video yet :/ I am getting closer though), I have not been starving myself (I eat no more than 1260 calories a day). I have heard a good goal is to lose 2 pounds a week. If you lose more than that does that mean you are cutting too many calories or is it not a big deal (as long as it isn't too much over)?

It depends on how much weight you have to lose. Seems fine to me if you're, say, 50+ lbs overweight

I want to lose 50-60 more.   Pregnancy left a lot of extra weight and I got too depressed to even try to lose the weight. Now I have the motivation and am doing good and showing progress. It is slow but I know fast ways like diet pills and fasts don't last.

1260 calories to me with exercise seems too low. Isn't the minim without excercise to keep your organs functioning 1200? I'm breastfeeding so for me to lose 50 pounds healthy way I have to eat 2200 with exercise 30 min three days a week.

I have been using My Fitness Pal and it automatically subtracts the amount I lose and adds it back to what I can eat. But it seems counterproductive for me to eat back all the calories I burned. :/

I guess, just seems so low. Then again I'm use to sparkpeople and babyfit tracking tools.

It is common to lose more weight in the beginning as some of it is water weight.

  Exactly!

It's typical for me to lose 3-4lbs/week for the first 2-3 weeks when restarting an excerise/eating healthier routine. Then after those first weeks, I steady off to about 1-2lbs a week.

Don't worry too much about it!
