i know you can be stuck at like, 3, 4 cm for a while and not go into labor... but what if you get checked and you're like 6 cm? would they want you to go in for induction or would they let you wait until labor starts?

just depends on your OB, some will break your water some will induce or just leave you be.

Ah. Alright, I was just curious. I was 3cm last week. I go again Tuesday. With my first, I was 3cm, then the next day i started labor and when I got to the hospital I was 7. So i didn't know if maybe after a certain point they want you to get it goin' lol

It depends on your OB. Mine considers active labor to be 5/6cm so she would send me to the hospital for monitoring and possibly a dose of Pitocin to help it along.

depends on your doctor, and how far along you are,.

they arne't supposed to induce you until 39 weeks. Some will claim you're already in active labor and rupture you. It's rare for anyone to be at a 6 without frequent contractions though. mostwould agree you're in labor,and rupture you to speed it along

i kind of figured that, that's why i asked  

well, i don't want to be induced at all so hopefully all will be fine.
