Whatever Works

I just thought I would share this, I went to my Maternal Health Nurse, for my sons 6 week check up, I told her that we nurse him to sleep, and if he crys, we pick him up, he isnt on any regular feeding routine,, just when he wants, he is sometimes like a little parcel, my daughters, husband or I have him,, but he does sleep in his cot, of a night, but he just loves his cuddles,,,
I thought that this woman,, who was an older nurse,, was going to say the usual 'you shouldnt do this,,, you shouldnt do that,, blah, blah, blah,!!!!
She said WHAT EVER WORKS !!!!!Do what makes your life easier, and helps you cope,,,,,,,,,,,,, I was amazed usually you get the lecture...
So I just thought I would tell you all,,, what ever works for you,,,,

My healthnurse told me the same thing pretty much lol.

i wish mine had said that ! she had me so worried i almost broke down , nothing i did was right and nothing she told me to do helped so i just ignored her in the end

you poor girl,,,,,, what ever is right for you,only you know your child

Why is it that we pay a dr for a service so basically they are working for US, yet we go in and get a lecture??? And if we don't get the lecture we're surprised and relieved.

They can raise their children however they like, but when it comes to us raising OURS that's on US.

I'm so sick and tired of dr's and them treating us all like crap and like we're lower than them.

Well Its better than what I expected,,, but when I was going for my ante natal appointments, I was treated like an idiot,,, I was contracting from 24weeks,, and I was constantly asked,,'Are you sure!!!!!!!!!!' well sure as hell,,, I was on ante contraction medication until the night before he was born !!!!!

It made me feel like complete shit,,,, like I was complaiing for no good reason,,, and I should just shut up and cope....
So when I was actually told,, well done,, you are coping, and its your way,, and only YOU know what your baby wants,, I felt like WOW,,, I am good !!!
I was basicly telling anyone with ears !!!!!!!
I remember going back to when my daughter was born, I was 21, and the health nurses' where like Natzis' and you should follow what they said, I was young, and just agreed with them,, becuase I was thinking they know better,, but then at home,, just done what was best for my daughter,,,,
