it sucks that I didn't realize they were until RIGHT now. I assumed they knew the guidelines. I never looked them up for myself. I probably did before I ever gave blood or something, but then I never looked up the rules of post partum donation. LOL

I am also on the bone marrow donation list & the ONLY time I've been contacted I was prego with my 1st.   By the time I was done they didn't need me.

It really sucks that they are   ugh it makes me so mad. They told me I had to be 150 pounds before I could donate if I wanted to donate before I was 22. I'm quite short and 150 pounds would be obese for my height. So I haven't donated except for one time when a different place didnt tell me that.

Well they are consistent here with the 110. They always weigh me first. Fun. Make you feel 12 like you are lying or something. Once the woman getting ready to tap my arm also said I looked too thin to be 110 & insisted I go get weighed again with no shoes on.   I WAS above weight limit - like 115 or 118 or something. I can't recall, I just know I WAS heavy enough. They were just being weird.

  it was stupid and idiotic. And I never heard of it before.
But now I'm 22 but I just haven't heard of any around recently.

If you want to continue donating blood I would wait till you are done nursing. My mom donated while she was nursing my younger brother still it caused her blood to test positive for some disease that gets you banned for life from donating.

Please note this could be completely un-true because I was 5 or 6 at the time and I was told this from my mom. I do know she went to the doctor to get tested again and it came up negative for whatever the red cross said she had.
