Improvement.

I stopped taking birth control a week ago Monday.

I have already noticed a HUGE improvement in my relationship with DH. We actually get along. I actually have the motivation to do stuff around the house. I'm in a decent mood and not depressed. I'm not a bitch 24/7. I feel much much better.

I will never take hormonal birth control again EVER.

Glad you're feeling better!   and glad to hear your relationship is better.

I can relate. I felt sick and was mean and unhappy on hormonal birth control and after I stopped using it I felt like a brand new person.

Blah....I had the same issue with bc. sucked!!! I was so moody!!!! Of course I go pregnant a few months later. "oops". lol. I had Mirena after and it was great!

I was on the pill before and i was a bitch. I hate bc.

I know exactly how you feel.

i asked my doctor about this and he told me that it was basically in my head. when i went on birth control before i also gained a ton of weight. when i stopped taking it i was nicer and i was able to lose weight.
when i started taking it again i asked my doctor for something that doesn't cause weight gain and he said none cause weight gain. so i started taking it and i gained a lot of weight again. i exercise and eat better and i can't lose the weight at all. its depressing but i am too nervous to not take it

Mine didn't make me gain weight but I had a bunch of lame side effects. Depression, mood swings, headaches, and seriously a whole change in personality. It's worth the risk to me. I wouldn't mind another baby right now. But I know what you mean.

Your doctor's an idiot. Weight gain and mood effects are documented side effects of hormonal birth control.
OP, YAY for freedom from bc! Hormonal birth control is so horribly bad for women. I wouldn't touch that stuff again with a ten foot pole.

I had to stop taking it years ago because it was causing enormous issues with my anxiety and also with my hormones. I've never looked back

Really? I hope my anxiety goes away now that I stopped taking it! I have it horribly at night 

I was such a mess when I was on hormonal BC. I was depressed, angry, and highly irritable. NEVER, EVER, AGAIN.

That's how I felt! It's only been a week and I feel so much better already.
