SCREW YOU!

I hate my gallbladder.

I guess pregnancy wrecked my gallbladder. I've been to the ER twice over this junk.

I'm on pregnancy medicaid for 2 more weeks, but...It won't cover the surgery, even though pregnancy is what caused the gallbladder issues.

Are there any options or programs I can get on to pay or at least help pay for the surgery? I need this thing out!! They keep giving me pain shots and prescriptions and as soon as the meds are gone, it comes back.

Most of the time the hospital will want at least half upfront. At the hospital I worked at they would do a discount on the rest.

I would start applying for it now- if not there is a tea I believe that helps pass the stones but it hurst and more can build back up

I don't think it works that way here. I'm on food stamps and WIC, but the only thing I qualify for after the 6 weeks of pregnancy medicaid after birth is family planning services. :/

This too if you make less than the income requirements with DH's too.

Is there insurance through his job?

Hmm.. I believe that was part of what Obama changed awhile back. I'd call the media is office and ask.

Not necessarily. I was denied Medicaid because I apparently made too much money. I'm a single young mother and work a minimum wage job, but I guess the child support made me make too much I guess. My kids qualify for it though, just not me

I hated that damn gallbladder. I had mine out when my newb was two months old. I hope you can find a way to get it removed... I know how painful it is.

He does, but he doesn't qualify for a few more months since he just started this job. I thought I could wait, but...the pain has been coming back after I eat dinner every single night.

I'm guessing I'm going to be changing my diet to very bland things until I can get on his insurance.

There doesn't seem to be many options for people who are poor and can't pay $16,000 up front for a surgery in Arkansas.

I, also, thought Obama was going to make it to wear people who made less than a certain amount automatically qualified for Medicaid...But people seem to think I'm crazy when I call and ask about it.

It may be that your income is too high to qualify. I believe the changes that Obama made were to raise the income qualifications so that more people were eligible.

I think if you cut out red meat that should help your gallbladder.

There is a thing in your state that you could get but you must be spending a large part of your money on medical bills. It's called Medicaid Spend-Down.

But with you on Medicaid already I don't know if you would qualify. But with it ending it may help.
