why does this keep happening?

I had my third baby 9 days ago, and for the last few days, I've had hardly any bleeding, sometimes I would go the whole day with a clean pad, but tonight I had a bowel movement and almost immediately after, started bleeding heavily. Like literally able to sit and watch it drip continuously out of me. It happened the other day too, I took a shower with my middle child and just as I was getting out, started bleeding dark red blood.

My discharge paperwork says if I soak a pad an hour to call, I just changed it when the bleeding started, so I guess I just wait and see? I feel like I'm sitting in a pool of my own blood right now.

As a side note, I feel as though I could be over reacting, bleeding of any sort is freaking me out since I've only had one period in the past two years with my back to back pregnancies.

I had days where I barely bled at all, and then the next I was gushing. If you soak it in an hour, I'd call, but otherwise the bleeding can change day to day.
