I agree -- I work in a nursing home and often times after a resident has passed away, the family will send us something as a "thank you" for the care we gave their loved one.

Here are some recent examples: A box of salt water taffy, a box of pears, a box of tropical fruit, homemade cookies, fudge and a really nice plant.

Also, be sure to include a card with some handwritten words of thanks and pictures of your Cadence so they can see how far this baby has come! Congrats to you both
