Do you ever get angry

When a child-less friend who never really spends much time around children tries to tell you how easy it is? It pisses me off. Have a kid, then come talk to me. Stay up with a screaming fever, teething baby. It's not unbearable, and most of the time it's wonderful. But still hard. This one friend told me earlier in the week while she and my 15 month old son went out to lunch; while I was complaining about diaper prices; "Oh you should just potty train him, he's big enough. It's not that hard, you just have to be persistent."

You know what I said "Oh yeah? Well maybe you should show me then."

lol...my kid is 15 months too...there's no way he's ready for potty training!

That's what I'm saying. It felt insulting that she would say that ,and even worse since the information she was giving me was inaccurate.

It annoys me more When people with kids older than mine tell me what I'm doing is wrong. People without kids are just ignorant

I have two pregnant friends that are parenting experts. One of my friends insists she will have a perfect child and it will be so much easier than what I make it sound like. I have talked to her occasionally about DS waking during the night. I can't wait til she really finds out what it is like.
My other friend does not understand that my son can not be potty trained at a year old. And insist I'm just not trying hard enough. And she's right I'm not trying hard enough cause I'm not trying at all. And she doesn't get why he isn't full on walking yet.

oh boy is she in for a surprise.. haha. My DD was advanced in everything... Did not potty train until she was over 2... shes almost 3, and still has accidents.. Does she know about brain development?

This. Exactly this makes me bat-smurf crazy. Come over on the other side of the spectrum, hahaha then you'll see how easy a newborn is. Or even better, a crazy hyper toddler who feels the need to get into literally EVERYTHING.

Mmm, that's lovely too. I had a friend who's daughter is only a couple of months older than my son, and when they were little babies she always used to scold me for holding him too much and telling me that I was doing everything wrong. Just because he didn't crawl until 7 or 8 months.

That pisses me off beyond belief too. My friends knows better though lol. I just stared potty training my 15 month old. It is not easy...haha

I just bide my time until they birth a demon spawn.

Hahaha your crazy, I couldn't even imagine. I try letting him go in his big boy undies a little bit, but stopped after he pooped in them and them pulled the poop out and handed it to me.

Yeah we're just doing the naked method. I mean we sit at home all day most of the time anyway, might as well give it a shot! She's doing pretty good, she's in diapers 50% of the time though haha it's tiring being so observant of her because she's so independent!!

I know what you mean, it feels like you can never watch them closly enough. I can be playing with my son and turn my head for a fraction of a second and he has a penny in his mouth, or he's trying to stick his hand in the vcr.
