posted 12th Jan
Hi, ladies I am at 12 weeks pregnant and I am curious is that shrimp are not allowed to be eaten during pregnancy?

I ate the smurf out of shrimp during my entire pregnancy.

But that doesn't mean it's safe, so ignore this.

I ate a lot of shrimp with pregnancy #2 and #3. It was an aversion for #1 and #4 which SUCKED because I love shrimp.

As long as its cooked properly its safe. I have had shrimp so many times. They also tell you not to eat buffet food, or sandwich meat... I've ignored both because buffets are amazing and I love deli turkey sandwiches lol.

A lot of people warn against it for under cooked eating, and I want to say iodine.

But I ate the smurf out of it too a lot.... And never had a prob.

shrimp and other cooked shellfish are fine also fish actual fish with low mercury are super good for you
check out the mayo website they explain it really well for you what you can and cant have and what just needs to be cooked or moderated and if you eat some things on accident cause it will happen dont spaz just keep an eye on symptoms for sickness thats usually the biggest fear getting salmanila right now while it wont kill you is just bad cause not only do you feel twice as crappy but it can dehydrate you and if it gets to your baby wont help it any cause baby cant just puke and feel better right now
a million people will tell you what you can and cant do while pregnant do the research and enjoy the horomone boost that will make it easy to spout out your new found info to all those idiiots who have no kids but know everything about them supposedly lol
