You let the child for any amount of time alone it's CIO checking on her every 5 minutes is proper use of the CIO method but its still using CIO. You got lucky the parent didn't mind but next time you might not get so lucky.

I get it. I really didn't read the CIO book if there was one. It's just my instincts. This too shall pass this is the only small child I watch occasionally. So probably won't be a next time but you never know.

Quoting RushLimbaugh:" That's mature. Look who's name calling first. What are you? 7?"

Old enough to know it's pretty smurffy to leave a baby to cry to themselves for 20 minutes. Laaaaaaaazy!

What?
That would work if you weren't name-calling back, but you were. It's wrong of her to do it first, but okay that you do it back?

not criticizing you or anything but i can't imagine getting ANNOYED at someone rushing to stop my one month old from crying. when my daughter was that young and she would cry for 10 seconds it would literally make my body hurt.

now that she's four , yes it would be annoying to rush to her every whine lol.
