Baby swings at the park..

What age would you say it is ok to put your child in a baby swing at the park?

Rory was in it at like 4ish months.

My kids were 5 months. I draped them over the front and put a blanket behind them in case they fell back. I'd say when the baby has good back and head control.

when they have good head support.

my son was 6 months..we surrounded him with some blankets tho too.

Ok, well I told my sister that I wanted to try the baby swings with my DD who will be 1 on the 27th of this month & she told me that she is still too young for it...I was thinking to myself, uhmm aren't they BABY swings for a reason? lol. I didn't know if others thought I should wait to put her in the baby swing or not.

depends on the swing and the baby.

when they're able to fully control their head. Then.. depends on the swing. THe ones with the metal bar.. much older than the rubber style ones with 4 holes.

She is definitely old enough lol. I'm surprised you haven't tried it already.

Well I have been wanting to take her to the park but I was always told there isn't much for her to do there because she is too young...I guess it was a dumb choice to take advice from my sister haha.

definitely old enough. We bought my daughter one of those airplane swings for at home at a year. Granted...they strap in better.. but 1 is definitely old enough if you're careful.

The swings are pretty much the only cool thing for a baby that can't walk yet lol.

i had an older child, so my 2nd child was at the park from day 1.

he was crawling around 6 months and climbing up a few steps then would slide belly first down the slides. everyone thought he was just hilarious, lol
