Morning sickness vent

posted 12th Jan
I have all day every day sickness, and it really smurfing sucks! Brushing my teeth is the WORST though...every single time I brush! I actually vomit, then have to rebrush my teeth. Anyone have suggestions to ease it a bit? Thanks for reading!

Im in the same boat with you. Try eating small frequent meals, peppermint helps, lots of water to keep you hydrated, saltine crackers, fruit is actually the only thing that doesn't make me sick, i can eat a bowl of fresh pineapple or strawberries and i dont get sick. But mostly its something you have to deal with. Im going to bring it up to my OB on monday and see if there is anything that she can give me to help. I heard vitamin B12 is suppose to help but havent tried it yet, and i am hoping after the 12th week it will cease to exsist

i actually just got over my morning sickness, i still gag when i take my prenatal vitamins lol, its the worst!!! When you gag after you brush your teeth have a wet cold rag to put on your face and the back of your neck. It will calm down your stomach so you dont vomit. Only advice i have

Ask your doctor about Zofran... I was super sick up until about 20 weeks and zofran saved my sanity.

try a toothpaste that isnt mint, i had the same problem with my first pregnancy and using a non mint toothpaste really helped me not puke. i dont remember what i ended up using but i know i used kids crest for about two weeks until i found a citrus flavored adult toothpaste. my dentist even said the kid toothpaste was better for my teeth than regular toothpaste that made me puke because the puke was going to do more damage.

Thanks girls! Never had morning sickness with my boys, so this is new to me. Gotta run to Walmart when DH gets home so I can buy more fruits and yogurt for breakfast smoothies so think I will put some fresh ginger on the list and put some in the smoothies. Seems to be ALL I can keep down, so maybe...

this can be really dangerous as when i was in the early stages i was throwing up none stop couldn't even keep water down and i ended up with key-tones in my urine don't along as your keeping water down if not try small sips of water but often if you cant even keep that down get to your drs as key-tone mean you are starving and dehydrating. if he finds key-tone he will more than likely say see how you go for the day and if it doesn't get any better or it gets worse to go to the hospital

Thank you, I will keep an extra close eye on that then. So far water is ok for me, I actually crave water. But, this is just the beginning and each day seems a bit worse than the day before
