Gestational Diabetes?

I had my glucose test on Monday, the Dr. office called me yday but I missed it bc I was at work. Now I won't know the results til Monday. Anyways, for those of you who do/did have GD, do you think my signs/symptoms are concurrent with it: extreme fatigue, dizziness, slightly blurred vision, tingling in fingers/arms, never-ending thirst and constant urination ???

I never had GD but I am a type one diabetic and I would say yes

try to lower your carb intake and drink plenty of water being thirsty all of the time means your sugar is high and means you could produce ketones if not brought down the best way to flush ketones out is to drink plenty of water and bring down your sugar. You can also get dehydrated fast having a high bloodsugar so maybe pick up some smart water no carbs or sugar but has everything you need to stay hydrated.

I drink a ton of water. I'm good there....but staying away from carbs will be almost impossible for me lol does gd go away after the baby is born?

I had the same symptoms and my daughter's tummy was measuring two weeks ahead of everything else, which can be a sign the mother has GD. Well I got tested for everything....GD Pre E and it all came back to be that I was extremely anemic....it was weird but after starting supplements I feel a bit better. Don't worry to much...I hope it turns out well for you mama! Oh and I just have a huge baby...hahaha

I had GD with my daughter. It's not the worse thing in the world. It's portrayed as damn near a death sentence, but it;s honestly no that bad. It wasn't hard to control sugar levels. GD goes away right after the baby is born.

I know! All this reading I'm doing online is making it sound terrible!

Could be mama...just keep positive and like you have heard, GD isn't too bad and hopefully it will be just pregnancy related for you and it goes smoothly.   I think you will be just fine!
