Flying with 3 year old

I just got the call that my grandmother passed away and my family is paying for my flight for the funeral. I will have to take DS with me who will be 3 this month and I was wondering how that works. I flew with him when he was 14 months and he sat on my lap. Will I need to bring his car seat on board or will he just sit in a seat?

Its up to you, you can bring the car seat or just let him sit in his own seat. Just remember he needs his own ticket.

So I guess he is considered an adult at this point? Because I can't find anything on the Southwest site for children, just adults and seniors.

Yep on southwest he is a full fare ticket.

NP. when you click the drop down to select the number of tickets you are buying it should say 1adult 2+ and so on.
