Would you date someone?

Online? Without ever meeting them because they're busy all the time or something? I'm watching Catfish and it's crazy when these people go on, a year, years, one even went ten years dating a person she's never met.  

If no, would you have an online relationship with someone online. Meeting when they came to town. Talked on the phone everyday, so on?

never being able to meet, would be an instant red flag. I am always surprised by the number of people who fall for it.

No, I would never consider myself to be in a relationship with someone I never met in person. And once I met the person, never seeing them would be a deal breaker.

no.. I run into this frequently. I live in a VERY rural area. I often get guys long distance who want to date me because I have an online profile. I'm not interested. I want someone to cuddle with, be intimate with, spend time with. If I just wanted someone to talk to... I can do that with friends, family, and on BG.

Hell no. What a waste of time.

Well I married someone I met online. We talked for 4 years and then I got on a plane and moved to Georgia and I had never met him. Just moved in with him. Turned out he lied about his name, his age and a bunch of other stuff. But I stayed and I still married him. He ended up to be controling and we got divorced after a little more than a year of marriage. But if I hadn't stayed, I wouldn't have met the man that is now my husband and I wouldn't have my kids. So it worked out.

Well...Catfish is fake as hell, but those who do that IRL are stupid and probably just as desperate and lonely as the people on the other end making excuses. lol.

But no. I google everyone before I start dating them anyway..pictures, email address, where they work, court records...yeah.   I never dated a guy off the internet.

Wow, were you scared or anything to move other with someone you didn't know? What made you stay after you found out he lied about a lot of stuff?

I'm glad everything worked out fine but your story sounds scary lol.

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I came home when I got pregnant with my oldest son. That's when I divorced my ex. The man that I'm married to now, came with me and we got married when our oldest was 5 months old.

I've dated a few guys online, but mostly it was to fulfill a void left by my first boyfriend because I was a stupid depressed hormonal teenager who thought my life was over because my first love cheated on me lol. My longest online relationship lasted probably 8 months and I broke it off because I met my SO and the guy wasn't committed enough to come see me. And he was 21 and I was 14   he didn't look 21 though, he looked probably 16. [I know he was who he said he was because we skyped, totally not catfish worthy lol.] I wouldn't have let it go on years and years though and when I look back on it it was pretty damned stupid of me in the first place. I still talk to the guy every now and then, I like to check up on him and see how he's doing because he's a very emotional person and I did care for him for quite awhile.

LOL I wasn't scared when I moved. I felt like I knew him after 4 years of talking on the phone. But when I found out 2 DAYS AFTER I moved in with him that he lied about everything, I was scared. I stayed because I wanted to give him a chance and I didn't want to go back to my life that I had in Minnesota.

I met my husband online. I was in Colorado and him in Texas. It started out as friends and we texted all the time and talked on the phone and video chatted. Then I moved here. The first time we met in person was after I had already moved. I was in a hotel and we met in the parking lot and then he stayed the weekend with me. It worked out, one child, I'm pregnant with #2, we've been together 6 years now and married almost 2 years.

Everyone thought I was CRAZY. And I definitely don't recommend it for everybody.
