I am a horrible friend (rant)

So my best friend is getting Married August of this year. My daughter is in the wedding but I have nothing to do with it other wise. Not dress shopping, not helping plan, not in the wedding. I am totally fine with not being IN the wedding but not helping at all honestly hurts my feelings. And really her one friend that is a bridesmaid (her sisters are her other two) doesn't even like her future husband. Like openly hates him.
So I'm distancing my self from it. And it really annoys me that she will occupy 3 of my weekends this summer when I really don't want to go to any of her planned stuff. Like the bachelorette party or wedding shower. There are things I would MUCH rather be doing then eating finger foods or getting drunk with a bunch of stupid girls. I want to go have fun, I want to spend my money on childcare to do something that's acutely enjoyable. <It's fair to say that last summer I spend 2 weeks prepping and cooking for her graduation party.>

End of rant, I'm a bad person but will likely skip out of one of the wedding activities.

You should skip the bachelorette party though and definately attend the shower.

Yes, we are neighbors and cousin in laws. We have been great friends for the last 7 years. I think it's because I have kids and can rarely go out for girls night.
