Ya good point. Like I said, this is all new to me, and there isn't a handbook on how to raise a teenager. LOL. I definitely am always questioning whether or not I'm making the right choices as far as she's concerned. Thanks all for the advice.

My daughter just turned 18. Your description of your daughter so much reminds me of mine. I mean, at 12 she still played with stuffed animals, she was a very sweet and innocent girl. That being said, my hard and fast rule was as long as she was taking care of business, such as schoolwork (she has maintained a 4.0 all through school) and her chores, she was allowed certain freedoms. I would let her go. If there were ever a time she wasn't living up to your expectations, her freedoms would be revoked. I am a very strict parent, but I also deeply respect my kids. Sounds like you have a very good girl, good job, mama!
