I need to stay away!

posted 12th Jan
I seriously need to stay off some baby sites. I was just on The Bump and read all these terrible things about miscarriages and now I'm freaking.

I'm 6 weeks 5 days and everyone keeps asking me if I've had morning sickness and I haven't at all! Its worrying me. Then I read all these stories and a lot of these women say they didn't have typical symptoms.

Eeeeek.

Don't worry
I never had morning sickness with my son!
Morning sickness sucks but it isn't a given that you'll have it.

I really would stop reading them right now, stressing yourself out about it not good at all. You must remember that every pregnancy is different, and just because you're not getting morning sickness doesn't mean anything. As you've read yourself you can still be pregnant and carry full term without any sickness, those who don't have it really are blessed though lol.
Just keep calm about it all, and if you really are worried talk to your doctor about it or midwife, I'm sure they can shed light on the situation for you   xo

I know what you mean. I have been banned from reading 'What to expect when your expecting" by my doctor. She said I was already freaked out enough. And my Help Me Grow rep won't bring info to my house that has bad outcomes.

I only had morning sickness with one. Of my pregnancies. You might not want to go to the suffering and loss forums

I never had ANY pregnancy symptoms aside from no AF. My boobs didn't hurt, I didn't have morning sickness. I didn't have cravings for anything till almost 7 months along. Don't fret momma. And congrats on your pregnancy.

I never even thought I could get pregnant so this is so exciting and such a blessing that I freak out about everything.
I found out super early too so my Dr. wasn't the most encouraging, he kept saying things like "Weeeeellll, lets wait and see, it could be an ectopic pregnancy"
Thanks Doc....
You ladies are the best though, so thankful to be a part of this site!

I would honestly switch doctors. The sooner the better. You want someone who is going to be positive, if he's acting that way now he's going to bring you down about everything. I had a horrible experience with my first OB. Maybe even try to find a midwife instead?

I didn't think about that simply because he's been my OBGYN forever, but you're absolutely right, this should be an exciting time. He's not making that possible.

I hated my OB but never switched because I didn't know any better. Then the further along I got the more scared I got to switch. I think you should do it now. Maybe ask some friends or family with kids who they see and how they are?
