NEED help!

posted 12th Jan
SO and I were just discussing going on clomid together. I am clear to try again in July so I want to start taking it (both of us do) around May. I just recently found out you can buy it at walmart. I have a few questions. Anyone know any good sources for men and clomid? I have studied it for women, but know nothing about men and when I googled I only found links about clomid after steroids. TIA

you can get it at the walmart pharmacy, its on the 4 dollar list but you need a prescription which youve had before so no big deal. I think its cheap even if you dont have insurance through their pharmacy.

He should't need it at all. you are getting pregnant his sperm works fine. Theres something wrong inside of you that needs to be looked into that is causing you to miscarry so many times. Its not random at this point, its steady which means YOU are having a problem holding the pregnancy. If paul was having problems and needed fertility aid you would not be getting pregnant at all.

EDIT: didnt mean for this to come off harsh, just stating fact that if youre are getting pregnant then the problem isnt in his sperm...For some reason your body isnt holding them or is rejecting them. Nothing that clomid will fix, youre both obviously fertile and conceiving, why your body is rejecting them is what needs to be really examined.

Lots of Clomid ladies in this thread who may be able to answer your questions. I agree with PP though, unless you have male factor Clomid won't be necessary for your husband. Has he had a SA?

It doesnt sound harsh. Their is no reason for my MCs the only thing they can find is the scarring in my tubes which would prevent fertility not problems after implantation. We are both going on vitamins, and I am going to monitor myself and take it easy if we become pregnant again. This past miscarriage really woke paul up, he is willing to try anything that will work. I don't want to until I am cleared from my oncologist though. We had testing done this MC too and I have heard nothing yet, but the other their is no cause. My doctor said for about half of his patients they cannot find one. What they do know is that I should have troubles conceiving and the scarring gets worse and worse (which would cause tubal pregnancies) but that isnt the case either, cause I am getting babies just not sticky ones. Paul knows clomid will raise his testosterone, and thats about it, I have health insurance he currently does not and wants to be seen to go over his options so we were just curious about where he would go.

We both want to explore every option because we cant, at least I cant take the dissapointment anymore. He gave me a wedding to plan and you of all people know I want another baby. I am sick of seeing crackheads and idiots conceive while I cry myself to sleep. I cannot take it anymore. So we want to plan for months before trying so we both are taking every precaution possible.

They never could find a legit reason for my first three losses (early) despite doing an RPL panel. After the third loss I did some more research on my own and found that often blood clotting disorders don't show up on blood tests, or they only show up during pregnancy. I took it upon myself to take baby aspirin for my last pregnancy and finally made it past the first trimester for the first time. I did lose her at 15 weeks but it was due to something completely unrelated. My perinatologist and both my old OB and my new OB all said baby aspirin can't hurt, only help. It might be worth talking to your doctor about if you haven't already.

I'm totally right there with you. I'm battling my insurance company right now so I can get a preventative surgery to allow me to carry my babies. The surgery is controversial and invasive but it's also the most effective thing I can do at this point. I'm reluctant to try again if there's a chance I'll have another second trimester loss.

Yeah I am at 5, all first trimester. I have been testing for clotting fibroids and uterine thinning I believe non were an issue. I am just not able to handle another loss so hopefully I can get some info on clomid for his testosterone and my ovulation and then some info on good vitamins and things before we decide to try again.
