Wow! My opinion was if they weren't helping me the way I needed them too they were gone. But it sounds like your room was exactly what you needed. My labor was 27 hours. Up to 14 hours I was ok with everyone but after I just needed them all out.

Nothing is going to prepare you for a complete natural birth, it hurts like hell but it's bloody worth it!! I don't even remember just how painful it was cos as soon as they give you your baby you can't feel anything but warmth and love. Trust me its 100% worth going natural just remember to breath and tell yourself it's always worth it in the end!

I have done vbac with both of mine, I had 1 shot each in my iv to help me relax in between my contractions. I really am scared to have to do a csection because i would have to be completely under and hubby wouldn't be able to be with me. I like being able to experience and be there with the baby right after. Its a lot of work but worth it to me.

You remember some, but you are right, you don't fully remember. When I was in labor with #2 I literally said to Dh "I can't believe I did this to myself again. WTH was I thinkingg??? This is awful."   He has it on tape & I said that & then was being really cranky that he was taping me in labor. I didn't think it was funny - he said it was to remind me so I didn't forget & ask for a #3. LOL I watch the tape now & I do remember saying those words, but I still want #3. ;)

thanks I am so nervous but hearing people do it both ways really eases my mind.
