Actually, the later he comes the better off he'll be if he's going to be going through withdrawls. Again, if your doctor felt that you and baby would be safer if he was born now, you would be medically induced in a controlled environment. Labor can cause that smurf to rupture. My MIL has been told simply taking a smurf could make hers burst, and it's tiny. Can you imagine what labor would do!?

The drs are not rushing to induce me cause he is not gonna die..... When i go into labor is when the risks become a factor.... But having sever migraines daily has caused me to become glued to my bed.....affected my job....and makes it hard for me to be a mother to my other children..... So yes me wanting him out is alot more then just wanting to hold him......

After 37 weeks a baby is considered full time, so if you have him/her they should be fine. As for figuring out how to induce a baby I'm not much help there. A baby wont come sooner unless it's ready to. You could possibly talk to your doctor about doing a membrane sweep to see if that will move anything along.

You clearly said in the OP that he will be in the hospital for a week to a month. YOU said it, not me. I'm just trying to understand why that would be. So no need to call me ignorant when YOU said your child will be in the hospital. Lmao.

And we're not being Bitches....but I take that as a compliment

see now your explaining things. It makes alot more since once we understand.. yes he will have withdrawls from your medication and i hope his stay is a short one and that everything goes smooth but unforunatly until your body is ready for labor it wont go. Im sure your doctors plan to induce if they think the risk is getting to high. Are you having a Csection? or are they going to let you have natural birth?

Wrong. 37 weeks is term. 40 weeks is full term.

My doctor had gave me some of the suggestions but none of them worked.... Ita just frustrating at 26 weeks he started trying to come all the te and they had to stop him...now that the drs give me the ok he doesnt want to come out!

If you have a medical condition and the doctors think your life or the babies is at risk they will induced you if they haven't is because they think you and the baby are find..Let mother nature do it's job and only god know's when is time for your baby to come..That castor oil could give your baby heart problems if you wasn't inform of that....And I do think your being selfish you just want to get rid of the belly..and not thinking of your babies health very sad...If you don't like people giving opinions or talking crap like you say don't ask for them and keep your business to yourself..........

Just want to add that castor oil can cause fetal distress, hyperstimulation of the uterus and meconium staining of the amniotic fluid.

My whole family, when I became pregnant, advised me to try to wait til the baby was 40 weeks before I worried to much about this. They did recommend, along with my doctor and other medical websites not to carry over the 40 weeks tho. You are at risk with a past due baby, just the same with a pre-term baby.

Shanon...me too but they dont know how long his stay will be just have to play it day by day....and the drs want to do natural but without me pushing...whih is gonna be a painful experience its self.... No matter when he comes he will have withdrawls..... I just want him to come out so we can brimg him home sooner ....and with each day that goes by the more meds he is expised too but the drs said he is already exposed so they wont induce.... Trust me if i could keep him inside forever i would because i am not ready for my life to be at risk during labor and to watch my baby be sick and in pain....

Just amuses me how we all our mommies on here.... And this is a place to ask for advice and some of these women are rude and saying things that are not necassary and hurtful.

Again, false.
It is not at all unusual for women to go to 41 and 42 weeks, especially in first pregnancies and in pregnancies where there was no first trimester dating ultrasound.
