Does your kid do this?
posted 11th Jan
My four year old tries to dictate conversations. This is kind of hard to explain, so I'll give an example instead:
Asher: "Hey mommy, do you know where the plates are?"
Me: "Yes, they are in the cabinet."
Asher: "No, no... you say, 'I don't know.'"
Me: "I don't know."
Asher: "They are in the cabinet, remember??"
He does this constantly, now! At first I played along, thinking it was just him wanting to pretend in a sense, but now it's getting so often that I'm having to remind him that he can't just tell people what to say in a conversation, and it makes it seem like he doesn't really care what they have to say! It's crazy! Anyone else's kid do this??? What's up with it? Lol

My 4 year old sometimes does something similar.
Him: "Thank you, mommy"
Me: "No problem, honey"
Him: "NO MOMMY YOU SAY YOU'RE WELCOME"
