Strawberry Cake

Does anyone have a strawberry cake recipe? One made completely from scratch. DH's birthday is coming up and strawberry cake is his favorite. Now that I have my new mixer and all the awesome baking stuff he got me for Christmas I don't want to use box mixes anymore. Thanks!  

My SO's favorite cake is strawberry jello cake.
You bake a box of white cake, I use a big foil pan, then when the cake comes out, poke a bunch of holes in it, i use tooth picks, then you get a big box of strawberry jello and make it how the box says, and while it's still hot, pour it over the cake, you want it to soak into it, hence the holes. Then put it in the fridge to cool.
While its cooling, chop up strawberries, I use about a pound, and mix them with two containers of strawberry glaze, you can find it near the strawberries in the produce section.
When the cake is cool add the strawberry mixture to the top, then top the whole thing with whipped cream, my SO prefers cool whip, I use about two containers, and let it set up in the fridge overnight.
He begs me for it all the time. And the kids devour it too.

!!! I totally forgot about this one! We made it once for my sisters birthday! It was so good!

It really is, and you could make your own white cake since you don't wanna go with the boxed stuff.
