epstein pearls or teething?

My son is almost 3 months old and I noticed that he has a white pimple like spot on his gums. From what I've seen online it says it may be an epstein pearl, but I've noticed that he can't keep his hands out of his mouth, he has been fussy, and also drooling A LOT. Everything I've read says that they shouldn't hurt which makes me think this isn't what it is. But they are more where the "pointy tooth" comes in on the left side. (sorry I don't know the technical name) could these come in before the front teeth? any advice?

Canine and he could be teething the "pimple" probably is where the tooth is going come out of.
